Carbon Monoxide

In order to keep your gas appliances including cookers, ovens, gas fires or boilers, in good and safe condition it’s recommended to have them serviced to manufactures instruction on a yearly basis.  Gas appliances that are serviced regularly are reliable and more efficient and any potential and dangerous situations can be picked up.  Servicing on a regularly basis will also reduce the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning.

Carbon Monoxide is a colourless, odourless and tasteless gas and is very dangerous and can potently kill which is why it’s very important to have your gas appliances serviced regularly.

There are warning signs that show your gas appliance needs a service :

•  Problems with gas appliance, even small problems

•  Soot/black staining on or around the gas appliance

•  Gas appliance not burning correctly, lazy yellow flame instead of blue crisp flame

•  Pilot light keeps going out, indicating combustion problems

If the problems above are evident or have any other issues then give us a call to arrange a service or a repair.
